Mention the name Jared Jeffries, and basketball fans would probably know he led the Indiana Hoosiers to the 2002 national championship and had a long career in the NBA. A surprising part of his bio, however, is that he is an avid angler with a passion for saltwater fishing, which he shares in this series. The Bloomington, Ind., native travels to exotic destinations in search of his next big catch -- perhaps one that rivals his 6-feet-11-inch frame -- and in the process demonstrates tips, tricks and techniques that have served him well on the water. Now that his NBA playing days are behind him, Jeffries plans to satisfy his competitive instincts by taking his fishing game to greater heights.
