The Americas

Tom Hanks narrates a 10-episode television event from the executive producers of Planet Earth, exploring the extraordinary worlds and wildlife of North and South America. Scored by composer Hans Zimmer, the breathtaking journey follows amazing creatures living in their natural habitats across the supercontinent, including diverse terrains like the Atlantic Coast, Mexico, Wild West, Amazon, Frozen North, Gulf Coast, Andes, Caribbean, West Coast and Patagonia. Each location comes alive in never-before-seen footage showing the unique connectedness of the land that millions of people call home.

Port Protection Alaska

The producers of National Geographic Channel's hit series "Life Below Zero" are behind "Port Protection Alaska," which profiles individuals trying to survive way above the Lower 48. Surrounded by the North Pacific, Port Protection is a remote community tucked into the northwest corner of Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. The approximately 100 residents who call the rugged, unforgiving land home push the limits of survival, living an isolated and risky existence of self-reliance with no roads, government or law enforcement. However, they think the risk is worth the profound reward: a world of beauty with the security of community without the constraints of bureaucracy.

Catfish: The TV Show

From the producers of the critically acclaimed 2010 documentary film "Catfish" comes a TV version, which follows the journey of couples who have formed an online relationship but have never met in person. Filmmakers Yaniv "Nev" Schulman -- whose own online love drama was the subject of the "Catfish" film -- and Max Joseph travel around the country to tell the stories of these hopeful romantic partners, and each hourlong episode is filled with mystery, surprises, and sometimes even shocking revelations as one partner discovers the truth about his or her significant other. What will happen when they meet in real life for the first time?

Snapped

Each episode of this true-crime reality series examines a different felon, usually a female, who has committed murder or attempted murder. The victim is usually the perpetrator's partner. The documentary-style series features interviews with friends and family members of the accused and victims, law-enforcement officials, attorneys and other people with first-hand knowledge of the cases. A staple of Oxygen, "Snapped" has been airing since 2004 and has inspired spin-offs "Snapped: Killer Couples" and "Snapped: She Made Me Do It."

Snapped: Killer Couples

Oxygen's long-running true-crime series "Snapped" tells stories of people who commit murder or attempt murder, with the cases usually involving a woman trying to kill her partner. This extension of the franchise shifts the focus to couples who commit crimes. Using re-creations and firsthand accounts, each episode digs into a case, telling the story of the couple's romance, how the relationship evolved from love to manipulation, and what ultimately led the couple to commit the crime. The stories range from teenage lovers who go on a multistate crime spree to lesbian lovers who want to eliminate one of their husbands.

American Greed

Stacy Keach narrates this dissection of the dark side of the American Dream, a survey of how far some people go to become rich, no matter the cost to themselves and those around them; real-life cases are reviewed and involve such criminal activity as credit card scams, identity theft, counterfeiting and Ponzi schemes.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent

NYPD detectives of the Major Case Squad use unconventional methods to solve crimes. Like its predecessor, the original "Law & Order," its storylines are often based on real-life headlines, and it features a cadre of quirky cops whose mission it is to find the criminals and make them pay.

Dateline: Secrets Uncovered

For more than 30 years, "Dateline" has brought viewers investigations into some of biggest mysteries in America. This entry in the franchise takes a second look at some of the most mysterious cases of recent history. Hosted by Emmy-winning journalist Craig Melvin, the show explores the stories through firsthand accounts told by people who are close to the crime, including investigators who dedicated their time to the cases and family members who are still trying to confront the tragedies that befell their loved ones.
